  • “This was our second time staying at the Elephant Tree Inn and Casita Verde. We love this place so much. It's in a very quiet location and within walking distance to La Tuna beach for kiting but we usually drove down with all of our gear and a cooler. Check in is a piece of cake. The king bed is very comfortable. Just enough kitchen necessities to get the job done. But the outdoor kitchen is the real gem. Huge flat top griddle and propane sink. Extra refrigerators, sinks and plenty of plates and cups for a party of about 10 people. My favorite thing is the hot tub which heats up to 104 degrees in no time. It's big and comfy and the jets on my back and legs after a day of kiting is a real treat. My wife loves the upstairs palapas with very cushy lounge chairs for a day in the sun. We did have neighbors in Casita Azul but there were great and very friendly. A great place to stay if you are heading to La Ventana to kite, windsurf, foil or wing.”

  • “Wow! What a fantastic place. My family of 4 just spent a week at Mark's place and it was a great home away from home. The space is well thought out and fantastically clean. Between the kitchenette and the palapa bar we found all the amenities and tools needed for cooking. The rooftop deck has amazing views for watching the Baja sunrises. We made sure to use the outdoor pizza oven (totally worth the effort to make wood fired pizza) and Bocce ball court. It's walkable to the beach (though not if carrying gear) and directly up the hill from one of the best kiting beaches and restaurants (La Tuna) in El Sargento. Even in the height of the kiting season (January) it was still quiet and peaceful here. The local caretaker came around regularly to take care of trash and make sure everything was all right and Mark was quick to respond to any needs. Their attention to detail and informational binder in the unit show what great hosts they are. We would absolutely come back here and will highly recommend it to all our friends!”

  • “We spent 10 days at Mark & Katherine’s place over New Year’s and it was excellent. Both casitas were super clean and stocked with essentials and drinking water. There were also beach chairs in both casitas and a cooler, which we used everyday when hitting up the beach at Salinas. The location was perfect for our wing-foiling group because the beach (which has a really nice exit, not rocky) is a two minute drive with gear and easily walkable without. The property is located in a quiet area and the view from the casitas is gorgeous; I’m already missing drinking in that view along with my morning coffee. We also really enjoyed using the outdoor kitchen for making breakfast and grilling. Definitely a great a great place to stay in La Ventana/ El Sargento!”
